In the last decade the advancements that have been made in the air conditioning world have made units significantly better than they were in the past.
Energy Efficiency AC Upgrades
Efficiency is another reason for you to consider purchasing another unit. If your unit is costing you tons to operate you may want to consider buying you a new unit. Older units were not made as efficiently as newer units. You will be surprised at how much more efficient your unit will be than your current one. When you are shopping for your unit you will want to take note of the SEER rating on the unit. The higher the SEER rating is the more efficient your unit will be.
Frequent or Expensive Air Conditioning Repairs
If you have a repair that is expensive you will want to evaluate whether or not you want to replace it. As stated above, if your unit is 10 years old or more you will for sure be better off replacing it. Sometimes you are better off replacing it even if it is not that old. If the cost of the repair would cover a large cost of the new system you will want to consider this option. You may be having frequent breakdowns with your unit. At first doing the repairs makes sense because they are not overly expensive but if the repairs are happening every month it does not make sense to keep your unit. Repairs can add up quickly over time. Cut the cost and the headache out by purchasing a new unit.
Air Conditioner Making Noises
